Today the Toronto Raptors fired Rob Babcock there general manager. My question is what took you so long. I mean Toronto has been bad for a few years now and there not going anywhere this year either. Babcock should have been fired when he traded Vince Carter for basically nobody. Ownership told Babcock the reason for the firing is he was too young for the job and they should have hired someone with more experience. Who hired him in the first place the same people who fired him. There is a lot more wrong than just the general manager in Toronto.
Ownership has never really made the effort to show the fans of Toronto they are serious about bringing a winner to Toronto. You can blame the trade for Vince Carter on the General Manager, but I find it hard to believe that ownership didn’t know anything about the deal before it was made. This is simply passing the buck to someone else. It’s time for ownership to take some of the blame for the debacle that is the Toronto Raptors. They do have a few good players like Chris Bosh and Jalen Rose. Mike James is another player they can build around. Hopefully they can get the right front office people and turn this franchise around for the fans of Toronto.
