Red Sox Have Plenty Of Talented Prospects
Print

While many Red Sox fans wonder where Manny will end up the farm system and future stars for the Red Sox are definitely well stocked. Jon Papelbon is a right-handed pitcher that has great command of his pitches and has shown the desire too win at the Major League level. He could be plugged into the rotation depending what other moves the Red Sox make on their pitching staff. Dustin Pedroia who plays second base won’t be up for a while unless Mark Loretta who they signed gets hurt. Pedroia will start at Triple A and be able to fine tune his game in case he is needed later in the year in Boston

Andy Marte was the key name the Red sox wanted when they decided to send Edgar Renteria to the Atlanta Braves. Marte was stuck behind Chipper Jones in Atlanta so this trade was perfect for him. He will be an average hitter but he will give you good power numbers for the Red Sox. Very good arm and only 22 years old and playing Triple A baseball already. This is a player that will be in the outfield in the near future helping the Red Sox win games.
