Texas has a quarterback problem now that Vince Young has left for the NFL draft. The Longhorns bring back almost everyone on the offensive side of the ball except Young. One minor problem is no other quarterback has much playing time and most of them are freshman. Mack Brown who is a great recruiter, had a hard time getting people to come and play when Young was the starter. I mean who would want to sit on the bench behind Young until he left. Players want to play and now Texas is paying for in the quarterback spot.
The news isn’t all bad for the Longhorns though, the quarterbacks they have are very talented and will fight for the job. The Longhorns will have to go with red shirt freshman Colt McCoy or a freshman name Jevan Snead who hasn’t even signed but has given a verbal commitment. Mack Brown will definitely have his hands for this year trying to find the right quarterback to go with. At least he has plenty to choose from. Texas will need everyone beside the quarterback spot to step up if they hope to defend there National Championship. I would’nt bet against them though as they have shown before they can get the job done.
