Frankly, if I didn’t see this story in the LA Times I’m not sure I would’ve even know hockey was back from its strike, or lock-out, or whatever it was that helped thin out the sports ticker on the bottom of ESPN…
My only positive experience with hockey was watching my friends play in high school, and that was more about getting drunk, eating the fantastic friend mozzarella served at the rink, watching my female classmates dress up like ski-bunnies and seeing my buddies get into fights while on ice skates…
This sport just doesn’t grab the attention of most adult Americans. And I’m not sure why. But it doesn’t. My question, to you, if you’re a hockey fan, is: why do you like hockey. If I’m missing something, I’d like to know. If not, I’d like to know that, as well…
